This isn’t an affiliate listicle. Between October 2025 and February 2026, our testing lab in Austin, Texas subscribed anonymously to 18 IPTV services marketed to US consumers. Each was evaluated against 10 standardized criteria using paid accounts only, with no provider notified. This is the full report.
Methodology Summary
Test location: Austin, TX · 1 Gbps fiber (AT&T) + 300 Mbps cable backup (Spectrum)
Devices: Fire TV Stick 4K Max, Samsung S90C OLED, Apple TV 4K (3rd gen), iPhone 15 Pro
Test period per service: 14 days minimum, including 2 NFL game days
Evaluators: 3 independent reviewers, blind scoring

Strengths: 20,000+ channels, genuine 4K sports streams, multilingual support, no contract, flexible payment (including crypto), 24-hour free trial without card.
Weakness: No traditional web checkout — ordering runs through chat. Unconventional for some buyers, but trimmed our setup time by 60% compared to form-based competitors.

What Sets the #1 Apart
Multi-server failover was the deciding factor
During our simulated CDN-disruption test (we throttled the primary route at the router level), every competitor lost the stream for at least 8 seconds. FLIXUS switched to a backup server within 2.1 seconds — imperceptibly for a viewer watching a casual show, and barely noticeable during live sports.
Support behavior during a real 2 AM outage
On January 14, 2026, one of our Fire TV Stick test units lost signal at 2:04 AM local time. We messaged support through Telegram. Response at 2:07 AM. Resolution (server rotation) by 2:09 AM. Competitor services, tested with identical simulated outages, took between 45 minutes and 14 hours.
Real 4K, not upscaled
We verified 4K claims using a video frame analyzer. FLIXUS delivered 2160p at true bitrates above 22 Mbps for flagship channels. Two competitors claimed 4K while delivering a 1080p stream bandwidth-scaled to 4K resolution — a practice we deducted points for.
Why We Didn’t Test Cable/Satellite in This Report
Xfinity, Spectrum, DIRECTV, and Dish are legitimate options, but they’re a different category: infrastructure-bound, contract-heavy, and bundled with internet. This report focuses on pure IPTV — services a cord-cutter installs on devices they already own.
